Glusaflex

Glusaflex enhances joint flexibility and repairs the damaged cartilage making the body function at its best. It is made up of two powerful combinations of Glucosamine HCl and Chondroitin Sulfate and with the added benefits of Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) that makes it more effective.
Components:
1. Glucosamine HCl relieves discomfort associated by arthritis.
2. Chondroitin sulfate helps attract water into the joints making it as a shock absorber and a nutrient transporter in the body.
3. Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is a compound that decreases inflammation and reduces homocysteine levels.

Glucosamine is one of the major building blocks utilized in the body’s synthesis of the lubricants and shock absorbing mechanisms necessary to maintain and restore healthy joint performance.
Glucosamine HCL supplementation enhances the body’s ability to manufacture collagen and proteoglycans, which are essential for rebuilding joints, as well as synovial fluid which lubricate your joints.
Glucosamine Sulfate vs. Glucosamine HCl
• Functionality – Both the hydrochloride and sulfate dissolve (ionize) completely in the stomach’s hydrochloric acid which makes all of the glucosamine present, regardless of the source, readily available for absorption in the small intestine. Once absorbed into the blood stream, the glucosamine, independent of the original salt, is equally available to the body.
• Purity – GLUCOSAMINE-ES is highly stable and manufactured to a purity of over 99%. On the other hand, the sulfate is only 80% pure as it manufactured by adding 2 moles of sodium (or potassium) sulfate to Glucosamine Hydrochloride and co-crystallizing the mixture. The resulting product is approximately 20% by weight sodium (or potassium) chloride.
• Equivalent Dosage – The suggested daily dosage is 1,500 mg of GLUCOSAMINE-ES. In order to get the equivalent amount of glucosamine found in 1,500 mg of the hydrochloride, you would need to take 1,995 mg of the sulfate.
Fact: Some Glucosamine Sulfate preparations even claim to be salt free when in fact they are actually just sodium free. They still contain up to 30% potassium chloride (KCl). Finally, an mg-to-mg comparison shows that the hydrochloride may provide more Glucosamine than the Sulphate salt, and this may be the reason why some people prefer to choose Glucosamine HCL. The jury is still out however as to which benefits you more and an easy fix is to just take both HCL and Sulfate forms.
Chondroitin
Chondroitin Sulfates (CS) are glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) which are found naturally in the body and are important in maintaining elasticity and integrity of many types of body tissues, including connective tissue and the walls of blood vessels.
Because chondroitin is a natural component of cartilage, taking chondroitin supplements may help the body to produce cartilage more quickly and efficiently, especially when combined with glucosamine, another raw material used to create cartilage in the body. Chondroitin sulfate also inhibits the action of enzymes that break down cartilage and attracts moisture to cartilage tissue so that it remains flexible.
BENEFITS:
1. Chondroitin sulfates are the molecules in cartilage that attract and hold water, thereby giving cartilage its elasticity and fluidity.
2. Chondroitin sulfate chains have negative electrical charges that very effectively capture water molecules, giving cartilage its sponge-like quality. When a joint is at rest, the cartilage soaks up (synovial) fluid from the joint capsule. When compressed, the fluid is squeezed out. Cartilage does not have its own blood supply, so it relies on this flow of synovial fluid for nourishment and waste removal, as well as for lubrication.
3. Chondroitin Sulfate and Joint Repair
Repeated stress to a joint can weaken or damage its cartilage, leading to discomfort and reduced mobility. Bones may even come in direct contact with each other. Cartilage repairs itself very slowly, due to its poor nutrient supply and the fact that joints are seldom given the time to rest.
4. Chondroitin sulfate is essential to cartilage growth and repair. It is produced by cartilage cells called “chondrocytes,” but the process declines with age and is also disrupted by stress or injury. Without enough chondroitin sulfate, cartilage integrity seriously declines.
5. chondroitin sulfate is also needed to keep destructive enzymes in check, so they don’t prematurely break down healthy cartilage.
6. Helped relieve pain and stiffness in the knees, hips, finger joints, and spines of participants, thus reducing their need for anti-inflammatories.
7. Chondroitin is present in the lining of blood vessels, and it helps promote normal blood flow throughout the body. It may help prevent a heart attack in patients with a history of heart disease or heart attack by helping to thin the blood and prevent potentially fatal clots from forming in the arteries. In fact, chondroitin has been found to be chemically similar to the blood thinner, heparin. Research indicates that chondroitin sulfate helps to lower cholesterol and prevent atherosclerosis in animals and humans.
8. Chondroitin is also located in the linings of the digestive tract, mucus membranes, and arteries. Chondroitin supplementation may help treat conditions linked to the deterioration of these linings, such as chronic venous insufficiency, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and congestive heart failure. In addition, research indicates that chondroitin sulfate may help prevent kidney stones by reducing levels of oxalate in the urine.
MSM
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), also known as dimethyl sulfone and methyl sulfone, is an organic sulfur-containing compound that occurs naturally in a variety of fruits, vegetables, grains, and animals including humans.
Methylsulfonylmethane is a chemical compound (organic sulfur compound) that is required for the development and maintenance of connective and other type of tissues. MSM is found throughout our body in nails, skin, tissues etc (as MSM is an important building block of the hairs and tissues).
BENEFITS:
1. Dietary supplement Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) has become very popular among people suffering from various problems such as different types of allergies, inflammations, heartburns, fibromyalgia, arthritis rhinitis, hair problems (those with keratin level in hair below normal), joint pain, parasitic infection, irritable bowel syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome and also skin and nails related issues.
2. MSM is also believed to be useful in strengthening joints, balancing blood flow as it helps in increasing the blood flow, muscle contraction problem and mobility related problems etc.
3. In many cases of arthritis, MSM in combination with other herbs & medicines have proven to be the best remedy available and the patients have found it more than effective for their condition.
4. MSM in combination with Glucosamine, Chondroitin and other few herbs/medicine works magic for the patient suffering from joint pain.
5. It also is supposed to have an important role to play in treatment of cancer (it helps in reducing growth of some type of carcinogen cells) and Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis (SAR) as MSM helps in fighting symptoms of these diseases, more study in this area is still needed to reach a concrete conclusion.
